Maple Nut Coffee Ring
Holiday Recipe Guide 2009

1 pkg hot roll mix
3 T sugar
¾ C warm water
1 egg
1 tsp maple flavoring
½ C oleo, divided
Mix and let rise.
Filling:
½ C sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp vanilla or maple flavoring
Nuts, optional
Divide dough into third’s. Roll out 1 portion into a 12” circle. Place on a greased pizza pan. Brush with remaining oleo. Sprinkle with one-third of filling. Repeat 2 more times layering. Layer of filling is last. Pinch edges together to seal. Cut outside edge with 2” of center. Continue around to make 16 wedges. Twist several times. Cover and let rise. Bake 375° 15-20 minutes or until lightly brown.
Put a glaze of frosting over ring.
1½ C powdered sugar
¼ tsp maple flavoring
1-2 T milk
